It is said by the people of village Bharakhara that, in this village 300 to 400 years ago there used to live a strange creature called Chero Kharwar, who used to be more than 6 feet tall, they used to look like a human but they were leading their life like tribal. Slowly where those strange creatures went no one knows, they became extinct.


The people of the village Bharakhara say that 200 to 250 years ago, there used to be witches, ghosts and barhams in this village and they used to harass the people of village Bharakhara. If anyone used to work somewhere alone, then they used to come there and asked to him to feed him tobacco and if he would not give him they used to harass villagers.


A woman from Bharakhara village told that once she was making puva during a festival at 2 o'clock in the night, a ghost came there and started asking for puva from her, then she said, go get some utensils for himself otherwise i would not give you puva So he brought the utensils from someone's house and then the woman gave him a puva to eat but he ate a lot of puva and kept asking for another puva to eat one after the other. Again he came and asked for Puva to woman then she said you have eaten puva a lot, now would you like to drink the juice of Puva, then he said yes I will drink the juice of Puva, then the woman said, just open your mouth, ghost opened his mouth and then the woman put boiling oil in his mouth, ghost mouth and face burned, he ran saying my mouth has burned, my face has burned and never came back again.


There was a wrestler in the village Bharakhara, he had so much strength that he used to uproot the small trees and throw them away. The wrestler used to go to the pokhara of village every morning to do exercise. One day the wrestler wake up at 12 o'clock in the night but he felt that it has been 3 o'clock in the morning, that wrestler started walking towards the pokhara for exercising, when he reached there and started exercising, he listened a voice saying that have you got more strength in your body, then come and fight with me and that was barham, that barham kept fighting with that wrestler all night, that wrestler became completely injured till morning. Then one villager saw him laying injured on the land, he asked for help and picked him to his house. After this, the villagers together set up a temple of Bajrangbali to get rid of the witches, ghosts and barhams and started praying daily. Many women and men of Bharakhara village say that they have seen Bajrangbali flying in that village many times and many people have also said that they have also seen Bajrangbali visiting the village. From then, the appearance of witches, ghosts and barhams in the village Bharakhara has stopped and all of them gradually become extinct.


During the excavation of Pokhara in Bharakhara village, a washer man of Bharakhara village found a small piece of diamond which he was wearing in his donkey's neck and used to graze the donkeys. That washer man did not know that the piece is a diamond and that little piece is very valuable. One day the washer man took his donkeys to a nearby village to carry the brick and he started to do the work of carrying the brick in the nearby village street. Meanwhile a goldsmith of that village saw the piece of diamond hanging in the neck of his donkey then he called him and he bought that piece of diamond at a very low price and after that the goldsmith became very rich.


About 100 years ago in the village Bharakhara, an airplane of the British Army fell down due to a malfunctioning engine, still the parts of that airplane are found in that area where the airplane had fallen while digging.
